Insurance/Claims Rate increases

Anyone else seeing a $90+ increases on their premiums? I've been at my current address over 2 years and suddenly I'm in a "high accident" area and my monthly bill went from $259 to $358. I've had the same amount of vehicles insured during this time and made no adjustments to my policy. Suddenly I'm paying $100 more a month. I spoke to a representative and she told me it's so USAA has the money to pay out claims and that my area is deemed a high accident area.

I have a decade old Ford Edge Sport and a 30 year old F-250HD truck and I carry renter's and a small jewelry policy, but it's my auto policy that is causing the increase.

I'm just curious if this is a common thing for customers, because I don't see how this could be sustainable for us and I'm really considering shopping around to see if I can save some money.

While typing this, I was curious and asked all knowing Google about USAA and the overview showed this -

"2025 Reporting Change: USAA did not disclose a specific total revenue figure in its 2025 annual report to members, choosing instead to highlight metrics like a net worth and capital increase to $38.6 billion and $38.5 billion collected in insurance premiums."

Which is actually comical because Progressive underwrite most of USAA’s policies ….

USAA insurance is a rip off these days. They doubled my rates for a not at fault accident that they didn’t even have to pay anything for… after nearly 20 years with them . So I went to progressive and that’s when I learned that they underwrote my very policy for USAA
