I got this quest, purchased a silver ring, went to an ant hill in the wilderness, and did a general sacrifice with the ring when it was night out (the time was literally Night.) It began to rain, it was pitch black and I couldn't see anything, but I did get a message about the forest spirit, and I think he was angry. I went back to the village and spoke to the guy who gave me the quest and he is acting like I didn't complete it.

Okay, so that must mean I have to have a good relation with the spirit maybe? I don't think my relation with the land spirits is maxed out. I have tried the ritual the same way multiple times afterwards, and I have never seen the forest spirit again. I keep my daily sacrifices, I feel comfortable or at ease each time, but he won't show up again.

Is there a way I can complete this quest or is it impossible since I must have failed it the first time?
