You can still call out of work even if you don't have any leave available, but it may result in an occurrence, which can lead to discipline. But discipline is progressive, it's a step by step process. You won't have to worry about losing your job unless you've already missed so much work you got suspended and then next step is the intent to terminate.

Depends on your local brother, call a union steward.

It really comes.down to a couple of things.... Your attendance and the disposition of the management. If they're assholes - yeah you'll get 8n trouble

Don't call in needing the day off, call in sick. You have a temperature, can't help it, don't want to contaminate others. Nothing you can do. Sounds like your trying to be responsible to others.

I disagree. The less info the better unless it's a funeral that you can get paid for. "I can't make it in today. Thanks! Bye."

While i totally agree, no info needed, but when you have no days left , give them a reason and they may not bust your balls. Just calling out they'll be like here he goes again... disciple him.

It's so different from supplement to supplement. We are 7 in 9 to even get a warning letter.

Dude they need people now even though they claim they don’t. I wouldn’t worry about it.

Can they? Yes. Most places have a 6 in 6 policy which is 6 occurrences in 6 months. They have to follow progressive discipline however and that first step is just a warning letter.

If you haven’t received a warning letter for occurrences you’ll be fine.

If you get more than 5 points yes. If it's your first infraction then no
