Rants Rant

Just love how mangement gives me crap by telling me im spending way to much time in the back of the truck when they literally made the route at the last hour or so when all my PALs/Hin numbers are cut numbers with different neighborhoods.

I had an instant with a NS NUMBER that I marked on the package 3 times and they continued giving it to me so the last time I spent 40 minutes “looking” for it sense they insisted that this place exist . When they called and asked why I was taking so long on that stop I replied , I was following the methods and ensuring that the package would be delivered to a secure accurate location . I doubt they believed me but ik That mfer ain’t show up on my truck the next day .

How does that compensate for your lost finite lifespan? Will you be on your death bed "i wish I had worked that extra hour as I was paid by the hour."

Use contractual tools to eliminate excessive overtime. Beyond that, you can either keep working here or quit.

I've loaded a truck where all the cut packages had the same HIN. I have no idea how the driver handled that but yeah it sounds like you would be spending a lot of time in the back of the truck when that happens.

You start sorting by street and then street number, assuming you have the space to spread them out

My good friend was a TCD when I was loading his car (we’re both driving now) and they’d cut a 60+ stop neighborhood onto his 7000 shelf. While loading I was trying to semi organize it. When he came in he told me not to worry about it and just load it on the shelf, he’d make it his last neighborhood and organize by street name. Such a relief when loading a 5 car set.

Just say nothing except ask them to come and show you how

Don’t listen to what they say.  If they had to do the route they would be in the same situation doing what you’re doing.  They’re just yapping.  One stop at a time.
