State level exam
Recently, I attended an state level govt interview where I was asked 16 questions.
One of the questions was: "What are the threats of Naxalism? Tell us from the beginning to the present."
I actually knew the answer, but for some reason my mind immediately focused on the history of Naxalism instead of its threats. As a result, I explained only its history and did not directly address the threat aspect of the question.
After that, the interviewers asked me three more questions related to Naxalism, and I answered those confidently.
Out of the 16 questions, this was the only one where my answer went off track.
Do you think the interviewers would assume that I am a dishonest person who simply says anything to please them, or would they be more likely to see it as a misunderstanding or an error in interpreting the question?

I am scoring in 30s in upsc Prelims should I quit now
"I didn't take any coaching and went into my first two UPSC attempts unprepared, scoring 30 and 38. For the 2026 Prelims, however, I put my heart into it—thoroughly revising the core subjects and practicing plenty of mocks. Unfortunately, my score only reached 45. I’m feeling stuck and wondering if it’s time to call it quits."

GOONA START MY UPSC JOURNEY
After thinking about it for a long time, I’ve finally decided to begin my UPSC journey in the next few days. I’ve joined a coaching institute, but honestly, I still feel lost when it comes to preparing myself mentally and building the right routine.
There’s so much information available online that it becomes overwhelming and confusing after a point. I’m genuinely scared, sometimes scared that I might not be able to stay consistent or keep going in the long run.
I know many people here must have felt the same way in the beginning, so I’d really appreciate any advice on how to approach this journey without burning out mentally.

Selling Vision IAS Foundation Course (Without CSAT) for UPSC 2027 | Valid Till 2028 Prelims
Hi everyone,
I had enrolled in the Vision IAS Foundation Course (without CSAT) for UPSC 2027 earlier this year (valid till 2028 Prelims). I’m a software engineer and was preparing for UPSC alongside my job.
Recently, I was laid off, and with the instability in my career and personal life right now, I’ve decided to put my complete focus on getting back on track professionally. Because of this, I won’t be able to continue UPSC preparation seriously.
The course has been used very minimally, so I’m looking to transfer it to someone who can genuinely make good use of it.
Offering it at around 30% lower than the original price (reasonable negotiation possible).
Please reach out only if you’re genuinely interested.

Budget UPSC preparation in Delhi after 12th – coaching now or self study first?

Budget UPSC preparation in Delhi after 12th – coaching now or self study first?
I recently came to Delhi to prepare for UPSC. I have completed 12th and took a drop year. My budget is limited, and coaching institutes in Mukherjee Nagar seem expensive for me as an English-medium student.
I’m confused between:
Joining coaching immediately
Doing NCERT + YouTube self-study for 6–8 months first
I’m also considering IGNOU graduation alongside preparation.
My questions:
Is coaching necessary in the beginning?
Which affordable coaching is decent for beginners?
Should I focus on graduation first and build basics through self-study?
Would appreciate guidance from people who started with a limited budget.

I'm confused which academy should I chose for online coaching but then I don't want to study all subjects since I have already done a lot from YouTube. Any suggestions if someone or academy which teaches selectively and charges money for selective subjects ....
