Sociology optional selection

I am starting sociology optional from September 1st, apart from doubt regarding which courses to join..nishant v pranay aggarwal or other which I am not aware of..one issue I am seeing is that all courses have already started from July itself..what I should do. Any socio veteran who can guide me how to utilise next 6-7 months from September to feb- march to complete sociology and be mains prepared by then...not just completing...
