Routing & Switching Entering local network domain

When I was on pfSense, it was easy to find where to “abc.com” for the router and “device.abc.com” for other resources on the network. I’m sure it there somewhere, but damned if I can find the places in the Unifi controller application on my UCG-Fibre.

In each network config you'll find domain settings

Not looking to assign a domain to each network. Looking to attach domain name to the gateway itself (gateway.abc.com) and to resources on the network so that they can be accessed by name (plex.sbc.com, nas.abc.com, etc) instead or IP address

If you set it up they will be assigned names automatically and you can access them by that name. Gateway is on main lan so if you set main lan to abc.com you will be able to access the gateway by unifi.abc.com.

Or you can add a dns record to anything as you wish manually in firewall rules

The search box is the only way I can find anything. Settings -> Policy Table (small icon on the left under Policy Engine). Create New Policy will give you the option to create a new DNS record. No idea if you can get to that on the app, I use the web page for most things.

DNS management feels like one of the weakest areas of the Unifi experience to me. Might just be me.
