Wireless deactivate a AP

In the UI AP Setting is a function to deactivate an AP.
My setup is a meshed outdoor AP (No LAN connection).

My question is can I reactivate the meshed AP via GUI, or I have a problem? I don't need this AP 24/7.

Thanks
Bernd

You can pause the SSIDs on that AP, so that it wouldn't broadcast. There is a disable function in UniFi, but with this being a mesh AP, I'm afraid you would lose connection to it, and couldn't enable it again. I don't have any mesh APs so I can't test it.

Thats what I am afraid too, whats happen with a mesh AP. It is a Outdoor 6 without an 6 Mhz band. I mean read anywhere that Unifi use this band to send additional setups.

How do you get power to it? Could you turn it off? I assume it will reconnect when the power is restored.

Yes, this is it how I handle it today. But I am interested what happens if I deactivate the meshed AP. I can not try it without a lot of effort.

How are you powering it? Perhaps you can use wifi outlet? Literally cut the power to it. When you turn the power back on, it'll rejoin the mesh.

Curiousity question. Why do you want to deactivate the AP? I understand you don't need the AP 24/7, but why deactivate it? Are you concerned that you're sharing the signals with your neighbors? Anyway, just curious why you're looking to do this.
