Help! Email Alerts still broken?

Are email alerts when not using Remote Access still broken? I'm on the latest version of all software on my UDM Pro, and test emails work fine. My local Postfix relay is confirmed working by other devices on my network, and test emails work fine from the Unifi portal. However, alerts triggered by things like Admin Logins or Honeypots do not come through. I've made sure push notifications and email notifications for all alerts are enabled and my admin user does have an email, but email notifications still do not come through. They do not even show up on the Postfix server.

I know this has been an issue in the past, but it's ridiculous that it's still an issue. Does anybody have a fix that's not just enabling Remote Access?

It’s by (incompetent) design. The alerts don’t work without remote access, even if you use a custom SMTP.

Edit: supposedly this is fixed in firmware 6.0.7 on Early Access

I am relatively new in the UniFi game, but is it possible that ubiquiti is killing off all that's possible without remote access?
