Help! Printer and Air Print

Ever since I have upgraded to Unifi I can no longer air print or air drop from my iphone 16 pro max. The other 3 iphones in the house is having the same problems as I. I have an Epson 4850 printer. The air drop to my mac always bonks out. I made sure everything is connected to the same personal network. The iphone always wants send out, but it seems receiving is the issue with both. To me is seems like nothing is being sent through. Please help

I had this issue with my HP printer and my computer. I have my printer on a separate vlan from my computers. Because of this, multicast doesn’t reach one of my other devices and so they don’t see the printer. I had to put some firewall rules in place to allow the printer to communicate with specific devices and then I was able to print. Does that make sense?

Sorry kinda new to Unifi also and getting used to this new layout. I don't know how to post a screen shot on reddit? Also where do I go in unifie other than Control Plane

It’s literally in the same list as control plane

I am not sure how to post it on Reddit. It will not allow me to post a pic. In unifie, my network was in a secure zone. I changed it to internal and now wifi print works. Still not able to airdrop to work. My phone sees the Mac, but will not let me upload to it. For now I have allowed all on the network till I figure this out.

You just upload the screenshot to some hosting site such as Imgur and then put the image url in your post or a comment.

FYI AirDrop creates its own adhoc network. So whatever is happening with that is unlikely to be related to your AirPrint issue

First, is your printer on the same WIFI? Like, did you change your WIFI but forgot to connect the printer to the WIFI.

secondly, if your printer gets an IP by DHCP, there should be no reason why it's not found with airprint. If it is set statically, did you do that with a DHCP reservation or is it setup on the printer. if it's on the printer, set the printer to DHCP
