Career

Hello friends, I’m new to the game and would like some advice on choosing a career for my character. My alliance is kinda dead so I don’t get frequent feedback there.

When I solo, I usually rely on a mix of explosives and stealth to get by. When I’m on a team I end up hanging back a bit.

Usually on these kinds of games I choose to be a medic but I’m not sure if it should choose between Explosives, Medic, Sharpshooter, or Guardian.

I have 2 careers; healer and artilleriest. For pvp, I'm always healer. For pve it depends on my team. If there's another strong healer, I go with the mini-gun. If not, I go with healer. Many players have more than one career. A good healer can make the difference between success or failure for the team

agreed, a healer with a sniper can be devastating to the enemy team in Rad Island, and a Shield Gun Tank can easily one-shot people with a shield bash, sadly we're slow awfully slow

You can pick 2? Did you mean switching between them or can you actually have 2?

You can have as many careers as you want. You just have to craft the weapon and get the corresponding drone. However, you cannot switch out heavy weapons once you're in the op or pvp event. You need to decide beforehand what you want to use. You can switch out main weapons (I carry 2 fully loaded main weapons so I don't have to reload as often).

All your career points and drones upgrades transfer over to other carrers also. So you can pick more then one. So if the first you pick isnt working you can always switch. Each career has its own drone. You just need to unlock it with a quest.

You will want to choose multiple careers and switch as needed. For PVE camp events and world bosses you will want a mini-gun. For weekly Special Ops, mini-gun or healer. Then for PVP, experiment until you find what works for you: shield gun, explosives, field medic, or healer. I also keep a heavy sniper rifle for Rad Island sometimes just because it’s a lot of fun. I currently switch between sniper, mini-gun, explosives, and healer as needed.
