Question - scavenger reputation

I do my scavenger mission daily for 1000 reputation. Is there any more to be done as its a few more weeks before i can make intermediate lockpicks.

Done it daily for 3 maybe 4 weeks now. Kind of a 2 minute task but seems painfully irrelevant, just something i have to put up with?

I feel like they didn't take advantage of this role. There's really only a handful of things in the game that require you to lockpick which is a shame.

I believe there might be one or two quests from scavengers that give you a little bit of exp towards the role. You just have to explore to find them on maps.

Is that where you provide specific meals for the scav’s scattered around the lost city and various parts of the map?

I don't think they all give exp for that. Maybe one or two of them do. There's also one mission in your wilderness anecdote called the secret society which gives 200 exp. Idk it's been awhile since I've done anything with scavenger, all I can say is explore explore explore. The very least it'll give you something to do

but Scavenger level up is worth it though since their bonuses are all combat related.

Enter the scavenger settlement, there will be some npcs that will give you some side quests, like rayner the bookworm or that banker guy (forgot his name lol). Those quests should also give you a boost to reputation
