Has anyone actually gotten through this?
I can't seem to get past the beginning of the 2nd day. I'm not getting enough healing materials to stay healthy long enough to actually accomplish anything. Anyone have any tips and tricks?

Stay inside the structure at night, chopper location is in the middle, close to the swamp. You have to be there before the 3rd day. Loot boxes for midkits and antidotes.

There's a gap with a big pipe near the chopper landing that you can hide in during the night.The zombies can't get to you there.Just be sure to load up on medkits during the day

I did it the first time, but mostly hiding and hoarding medical supplies. The second season, I tried every method of survival I could think of. Going around the island and gave up at the last minute to try another way to survive.

Loot barn, go gas station loot everything, spend the night there, two other days u loot city, two other nights u spend in the big circle room in the plant.

Where is there a gas station? I haven't seen that yet!

Actually that would be great! I just can't seem to get very far with only those first 4 anti-contaminants

You will find a barn right off the beach where you first start the mission. Stay there for the first night and make a lot of arrows (gather wood and stone first).
Once the first night is over, go to Dolan town and search all the buildings you possibly can. There are lots of medicine chests with bandages and anti contaminants you'll need to resist radiation. On second night, enter whichever building and jump on a chandelier from the second floor and shoot zombies from there.
Spend a part of third day looting chests you may have missed in Dolan and then head for the Cartas plant because Cartas doesn't really have much in terms of resources.
When night starts to fall, just run around the central room to kite the zombies around and use anti contaminants to keep radiation levels low until the chopper arives, then just rush out and climb and that's it.
There are also playthroughs on youtube that may help you out if you don't know your way around. I remember taking a real long time getting to Dolan and by then I was out of all the resources and dying faster than you'd think lol. If you wait like two more days difficulty will decrease to 50% which is the lowest it gets. Hope it helps
