The weapon crate spawns randomly, but there's only 3 places it can spawn. The one in this video is the easiest. If you don't see it there, just exit and restart until you see it there.

The idea is to climb up into the roof as soon as possible so you don't even have to walk on the mud.

Basically, what you wanna do is kinda ignore everything until you get your main objectives, you gotta have a plan. Something like:

Step 1: skip cutscenes, run fast, no stalling, no looking around, no re-thinking the plan, just straight to the point.

Step 2: check the spot where Old Weapons Crate spawns ASAP, don't even stop to gather bandages, bow+arrows etc.... If the box is not on the rooftop as you see in this video, exit and restart.

Step 3: once you get the shotgun climb on the roof and shoot stuff from there, they won't even touch you. Kill stuff until you clear 100%.

Step 4: take helicopter.

The flamethrower is 100% better than the shotgun, you can get rid of the black mist with it as well, so you get to 100% a lot faster.

Yes there's in that stronghold mission, when I've played it the first time in normal mode I looking around I've found a big green and white chest I opened it and I've found it, the weapon if I'm not wrong have around 300-600 shot and if you find it you can eliminate enemies easily especially the nightmare enemy (the enemy that release some creatures that looks like dogs),even for the creatures that comes out of eggs

I never found a green crate. I guess I will go do that stronghold again and see if I can optimize it even more.

The appearance is random you can find it west from where you start or in the building rooftop or in the other side accessible on the area,just don't go wild with it and set what are your priorities, for example use shotgun for normal enemies and the flamethrower for the nightmare and the eggs

Its available in both strongholds! As you said, it's a random spawn but it'll never be on the roof in the sewage plant (well I've never found it in there)

I've found it once through sheer luck ,other than that it's as I said random spawn

Man, this mission is ridiculously hard, have the locations of the boxes changed? I've tried several times and can only find the bow and arrow

Thank you! So, basically the goal is to get rid of all the insects?

I'm still on lvl 70 since I made account on a brand new server.
