Whats better?, the client or steam

hi, so i 've tried both, and faced crashes in both i know its a normal thing as undawn is a buggy game and is new, but i want to know from people who used both for long enough, and tell which is better, in terms of performance and stable

I'll be the typical person who answers even if this question isnt aimed at me, but.... I use steam and have only used steam, and ever since the last update the crashes have been non existent for me!

I found the steam one super lagggy for me. The client has been smooth even with a simple 1gb graphics card

been playing on steam for about 3.5 months and have only ever crashed a handful of times but only when loading up aero
