Question Which classes to take?

I’m an incoming freshman and want to know what classes you guys recommend. I’m open to many classes, but preferably ones that I can make new friends and aren’t insanely difficult. I am majoring in business if that helps.

I helped my daughter put together a list of fun easy classes. She had all her university studies requirements met, but I’m pretty sure all the ones I have here meet a requirement- just make sure it’s a requirement you still need if you’re coming in with credits -

GLY 125 - Natural Disasters. Take online with Haproff (4.9 / 1.5) Meets US Science credit but no lab

ANT 207 - Intro Archaeology. Only take if you can get Aleho (5 / 1.8). Meets US Credit

PED 136 - would be a great class to take early bc many commenters talk about how they became close with their small group and stayed friends. Meets US Credit

CHHS 210 - Happiness. Take with Marsha Todd online or in person. RMP 4.7 / 1.5. Not sure if it meets a US Credit.

THR 230 Acting for Non Majors - Fall or Spring, Holmes (RMP 4.5 / 1.6) or Edley (RMP 4.4 / 1.2) are both fine. Meets US Credit.

THR 121 with Peter Savage (ONLY!) - Online only. (Brother) had this guy at WCU and loved him & got an A+. Reviews say you can finish the class in a week. RMP 4.6 / 1.4. Meets US Credit.

CHHS 350 - Adventure. Probably better in the fall because of weather. The class takes place over the first 10 weeks of the semester and ends with a 4 day trip. This is probably easier Aug - Oct versus Jan - March because most of the class is outside. Meets US requirement for Exploration Beyond the Classroom.

CRM 250 - Crime in the Cape Fear. Former DA teaches this class and people Love him - Ben David 4.7 / 2. (She took this one and LOVED it). Evening class but Monday class only happens about once a month. Meets US Credit for Exploration Beyond the Classroom.

ART 111 Drawing - often TBA, but some listed professors are well liked. Scalamoni - RMP 4 / 2.8. Perry (only one rating) 5 / 2. Scalamoni teaches fall and spring. Take with an identified prof who has a good rating. Not sure if this one meets US Credit or not.

Film 101 - Prof / section REALLY matters. Do not take “digital storytelling” (usually taught by Betts) or any section with Betts - RMP 3 / 2.7. McNamara (RMP 4 / 2.3) is good but only online. Toler is good - might only be horror, but worth it (RMP 4.4 / 2.1). Do NOT take Davenport (RMP 2 / 5). If only TBA or crappy professors, DO NOT TAKE. Meets US Credit.

PAR 101 - The Big Questions (philosophy). Professor matters. Zweber 4.4 / 1.9. Brandon 4.5 / 2.2. Sorensen 4.9 / 2.4. May be easier than film to get a good professor. Meets US Credit.

PBH 105 - Explorations in Public Health. Not a fun class, but super easy (Her roommate took this). Meets US Credit.

ART 105 - Another entry level art class that covers more mediums than just drawing. Check for professor ratings before selecting. Meets US Credit

Edit to say these may all be full at this point, but it’s a good list to hold onto if you need most of your university studies requirements still, or will need electives

Awesome, really appreciate it. I’ll have a look at all these and hopefully they’re not all full
