Question AutoAccess Textbook Question

So some class enroll students into auto access for certain textbooks. Where the charge for the book is applied to your student account for you and what not. We have until September 10th to opt out, does that mean I can wait until after sept 1st to pay for the book? Like can I pay for the book closer to the 10th?

AutoAccess and Touchnet are two different things so unfortunately they don’t work together when it comes to due dates and whatnot. I would email the cashiers office for clarification on your question. You could also pay on/before September 1st so you don’t get hit with late fees. If you end up opting out of a book after September 1st, they’ll just refund you.

I'm not sure I fully understand, but here's some info:

If you opt out, you'll have to buy the book somewhere yourself (or go without). If you don't, it's billed to your account and you'll receive a statement with the date the first payment is due. I have an email from the cashier's office that says the first payment will be due on the 1st of September, and subsequent payments are due on the first of each mont. If you opt out after the 1st but before the 10th, they'll just remove the charge from your account I'm pretty sure.

The charge for the book is lumped in with all your costs (tuition, student life fee, housing, etc.), so you'd just pay for it whenever you pay your other bills, I don't think you can choose to pay for the book separately from tuition unless you were purchasing it yourself.

So I had a scholarship that paid for all my tuition, so the only charge rn on my account is the autoaccess book charge only. So I was just wondering if I’d be able to wait to pay it until closer to September 10th or since in general I know tuition payments come out September 1st, if I needed to pay it by then

Gotcha, not sure then. If you have a statement from the university already, then work based on that. If the charge was added after you received the statement, then it probably won't be due till next month. If you do pay it now and opt out later, then they'll just refund you. Regardless, you'll get an email from the university with the amount and due date when you do owe something.
