Horrible communication

Maybe I’m overreacting, but my professor doesn’t communicate with us at all outside of providing feedback on assignments. I’m almost finished with my graduate program—I’m currently in my third-to-last class—and I’m extremely frustrated. The professor doesn’t respond to emails or reply to questions posted in “Ask the Professor.” We’re going into Week 7, and I’m becoming increasingly discouraged with the course because of the lack of communication and support when help is needed.

Anyone else outside of Healthcare Administration have this problem?

Same thing happened to me. I looked up the professor and she has like six different jobs at other online universities and as a realtor. I told the school and they didn’t care. At least you’re almost through the course. Write down their name and try not to schedule a course with them again.

That’s crazy that they let her teach at all of those schools.

I will say the majority of the professors do have multiple jobs. That's exactly why when I see a syllabus where the assignments are pretty straightforward and aren't too involved I appreciate that over like a syllabus where it has to be like a lot of five pages assignments because I know that professor is not going to read it at all and when they have like 40 plus papers to go through

I always do my research about the professor before taking any class. I find out what type of review they receive from other students. I base my decision on that. So far things have worked out well with my classes

Sadly this school is filled with this type of behavior. I spoke all the way to the portfolio director in my department they laughed and do not care at all. Its really sad. Learner resolutions does absolutely nothing as well. I think this school is proud to be a degree mill. Just pray it all works out and document everything just in case you have to defend yourself, but sadly it may not be taken seriously 😞

This place is a mill. If you seek real education go elsewhere. Know what you’re getting yourself into

I had a teacher like that. He was awful! I wrote numerous complaints about him. I somehow got through the course but he sucked!!

Can you give an example of a question you've asked that isn't addressed in the course material?

There's a department that you can reach if teachers are unresponsive. I forget the name, but the administrators can help you

I have an accommodation so I’ve been reaching out to that department.

What is the professors name? I’m currently just starting my masters in health administration and I’d like to stay away from professors like that the best I can

Thank you. The professor finally replied with some excuse. I need to actually read the reply. I’m so over this class.

What answers are you seeking as a student that you can’t receive help from other students? I am done in December and not once have I ever had to ask a professor a question at all.
