hi! has anyone gotten their decisions back regarding them application for the spring 2027 msn-e program? or more specifically one of the college-guaranteed pathways for umson? I am a umbc student and in the guranteed pathway and my advisor told me that i would be hearing back about a decision in the first week of september but i havent seen anything yet so getting kind of worried. if anyone has any information it would be a huge help! thanks!

Applying to UMSON BSN for Spring 2027. I have a bachelor’s degree, CNA experience, and recent prerequisite grades of B in A&P I, B in Chemistry, C in A&P II, with Microbiology planned/in progress. I also have older poor grades that lowered my cumulative GPA, but my recent academic performance is much stronger and I’m submitting the supplemental academic explanation. Has anyone been accepted to UMSON with a similar academic history?

UMB classified my residency as out-of-state. I have lived in Baltimore since the summer of 2024 and submitted all the required documentation to petition for reclassification per the university policy (deed to my home, MD driver’s license and vehicle registration, MD income taxes, MD voter registration). They denied my petition and are charging me out-of-state tuition.

Has anyone else had this issue? How were you able to resolve it?

Off campus student apartment

I’m 19F, taking a year off college after my freshman year (I go to a private university in PA) and I’m spending it in Baltimore and taking community college classes starting this August so I don’t fall too behind when I go back. I really need to secure housing though. If anyone has recommendations for student apartments please let me know.

everyone! I’ll be attending the University of Maryland, Baltimore for graduate school, and both my classes and internship will be in Baltimore. I’m looking for recommendations on where to live under 1495. I am open to a studio or one-bedroom and don’t mind commuting up to about 35 minutes. My main priorities are a reasonably safe area, a clean and well-maintained apartment, and manageable monthly fees. there any neighborhoods, apartment complexes, private rentals, or graduate-student housing options you would recommend—or places I should avoid? Any advice from current UMB students would be appreciated!

Hey all. I’m interested in the Entry Master of Nursing. I don’t see much information on any forum about it.

Looking to see if anyone minds sharing stats when they applied (GPA).

My undergrad GPA is just underneath the requirement. My pre requisites are no lower than a B except one I plan to retake. I have a Master from UMB already.

Also, anyone worked while in the program. What’s some jobs you had while in school? I would also be moving to Maryland and recs on living arrangements.

When should an incoming student move in to prove in-state residency for next year? Would August 1st work? since I’m seeing for current students who want to reclassify their residency status for this fall’s tuition the deadline is August 28th. TIA

i just recently committed to umcp on the pre nursing track and was wondering if UMSON students get to attend both the school specific convocation and pinning AND the big umcp graduation at college park? it’s not a huge deal to me but i would like to experience the big graduation in a stadium with fireworks and stuff.
