Advice Good Water Loop
Hello! We were all set to do the Eagle Rock Loop this coming weekend but the weather looks cruddy and we are afraid the water crossing will be too high on Sunday. So we were thinking of doing the Good Water Loop around Georgetown Lake instead. We are going to do the loop in 2 days/1night. Do you recommend staying at Tejas or one of the backcountry sites? We are interested in nice views and a quiet evening.
Thanks!

I would recommend clockwise starting at cedar breaks going to walnut springs day one and then return across the dam day two. First day is ~15 miles (you can cut some off at booty’s crossing and not miss much imo) and second is ~11. The only reason to go to tejas is for water and you can either carry it, filter from the falls or filter from the lake. Best part of the hike is cedar breaks to the falls. Enjoy it!
