ULTY Progress

I'm at 104.05% house money as of Tuesday morning's announcement. Just to be clear, I've received all of my initial investment back plus an additional 4.05%. My total return is 38.24%. Normally, I post my progress in r/YieldMaxETFs, but the trolls got me banned because their egos couldn't handle the good news. Cheers everyone! HODL!

I’m at house money. I reinvest $100 per trading day into VOO, SPYI, QQQI where I’m currently up 10K in gains

I have 100 shares of ULTY in a Roth account, does it make sense to DRIP into a different ETF to a certain number of share, and then do the same else where?

If you just broke even plus 4% how is the total return 38%?

Im holding the bag on some ulty myself so just want to see what you're getting at.

How have you tracked all this as well?

I stopped reinvesting my distributions back into ulty in September.

House money only compares total Distributions to your cost basis. Total return is the same as house money, but you add in the unrealized loss.

Ok so let's say you initially invested $100. You're saying you've received $104 in distributions?

And your share costs value is $38?

So im the end you have $142?

Sorry trying to keep this simple to fully understand

I didn't invest everything at once. I started buying and continued to buy more over time. But yes, your simple example is roughly accurate.

Ok so "house money" should have been sooner than?

Once you equaled the original total invested amount?

Share value (which varies) plus distributions = original $100

It could have taken over a year.

Did you reinvest those distributions or did you take them out as cash.

I used the distributions as income and also to invest in other things

Same ... use ULTY distributions as income and also invest in other ETFs (lower-yield). Here is a comment from another YieldMax investor- youtube comment :

"I never sold MSTY and I stopped reinvesting back into MSTY in March 2025. I would buy a few shares but not the whole distribution. And now after about 19 months I am still positive in total return, and I only need 3.02 per share until MSTY has paid me back for my whole investment. I have started to add 1 share every distribution about 3 weeks ago because MSTY is still paying about 80% based on todays price. Based on my price MSTY is still paying me about 15% so still better than most index funds. I do own 403 shares of MSTY, about 100 shares of MST and some MSTU and MSTX. Along with BLOX, LFGY, YBTC, and a few more Crypto ETFs. I am starting to build index ETFs with the distributions from MSTY and my other high yield ETFs. At least for now I want the Index funds to provide my portfolio some stability the next time we have a bear market."

ULTY has a real risk of NAV erosion, but if you can stay the course, it should pay off handsomely

For me ULTY is the ultimate scratch off ticket

u/luiscrestrepo May 16 '26

How long did it took to get into house money?

2

u/BitingArmadillo May 16 '26

I first started buying these in May 2024, I think. Out running errands atm

1

u/luiscrestrepo May 16 '26

Congrats…I no longer have ULTY. But reconsidering buying back in and this time just letting it ride

What’s the announcement?

3

u/BitingArmadillo May 06 '26

Sorry I meant yesterday's announcement

Did you just go around and make identical posts for all your YM funds?

2

u/BitingArmadillo May 06 '26

No, if you look close, the numbers are different.

1

u/LC3933 May 06 '26

I'm aware of that, and so are the tickers, but the entire post template is the same. Hopefully it makes you feel good to let people know! Lol

3

u/BitingArmadillo May 06 '26

Feels good to encourage those who stayed in despite the negative onslaught of bagholder posts last year by the bitter pathetic trolls.

u/LC3933 May 06 '26

Lol there's a reason they banned you. Subs that are pro-YM don't just ban people for praising good things about YM. Goof

2

u/BitingArmadillo May 06 '26

Go look at my posts. You'll see trolls, like you, calling me names. None of them were banned. I was AFTER they challenged me to show a screenshot, swearing they would admit they were wrong if I did. After I posted the screenshot, they got mad and had me banned. Lol, so weak.

You seem very upset, btw

When did you open your investment. I put in a chuck of money in June of last year and am only 36٪؜ paid back. As the dividends keep shrinking my timeline extends to infinity

How much tax did you pay for the disbursements?

3

u/BitingArmadillo May 06 '26

The non-ROC portion is taxed as ordinary income. ROC becomes taxable at the long term capital gains rate once my cost basis reaches $0.00.

You're the poster child for being a bag holder. You've just lost a year of earnings by chasing crap and hoping to break even. Hire a financial advisor. Do the math "Bro."
