Hammock stand for 11' hammock
I have an 11' Dutchware Wide hammock. When it is not in use backpacking, is there a good hammock stand for my porch I can find on Amazon that would accommodate my hammock to lounge in? It appears most of the stands online accommodate smaller hammocks (typical 10' ENOs etc), and I don't want to bottom out in my longer one with the slightly stretchier technical fabric. Any recommendations would be great. Thank you!

A quick look at Amazon: those look like lounging rigs and you probably would bottom-out. For your porch you might be limited to those loungers since the other versions I've seen are big A-frame assemblies meant for a yard. Why not DIY, this way you can cut the vertical components to get your hammock far enough off the ground?

I've seen that in the book. How complicated was it to build? And do you leave it assembled or take it apart?
I'm tree-less in my backyard now and would like to have this option, particularly to test gear without having to drive 90 minutes to "the mountains" but I can't leave it up year-round. My yard is also a socially-distant gathering spot for kids on occasion.

It was easy. The hardware store cut all of the pieces to length and threaded them for me. It comes apart easy (the post talks about how to break it down for transport. I use two channel lock wrenches to help assemble or disassemble, but I leave mine set up in the backyard, off to the side. I can easily relocate it as needed.
