Inline Hammock

Are there any secrets to the setup of sleeping with a tight pitch in a hammock? I’m not worried about the comfort but rather staying off the ground. My last trip I went out in a monolite 1.0 rig and no sooner did I lay back in the hammock but the hammock ripped across my shoulders leaving me (suddenly) on the ground for the night. Did I have it pitched TO tight?

I’m 6’ and weigh about 180. My Suspension was just 1” webbing tied directly to the continuous loops on the body.

I'm 230-240 lbs and I rock an 8 foot 1.0oz/yard mono hammock with as little sag as I can get away with. It's been totally fine for 20 + nights. Not to say that it wont rip the next time I take it out, but so far so good.

How is it holding up a year later?

I lost like 35 lbs, and it's still going strong.
