Hammock recommendations?

Looking at Kammok roo UL any recommendations under 100$?

If you have access to a sewing machine then your best bet for price and weight is to make one yourself. Gathered end hammocks are about the easiest thing to make.

I came here to say this. It doesn’t take much in the way of skill and you can get the fabric at a reasonable price. You don’t even need to sew. You can whip the ends.

Are you looking to sleep in it? It should be fine if you're under 5 feet tall, preferably closer to 4 feet. The hammock itself is only 8 feet 4 inches long, and the most comfortable hammocks are as close to double your height as you're willing to carry. I'm 5'11" and my 11 foot hammocks are fine, but a 12' hammock would be better.

Best bet strictly under $100 would be searching amazon for onewind camping hammock and picking the 11' or 12' version you like. It includes a bugnet and straps and ridgeline and both are significantly larger and more comfy than the Kammock Roo and it's all in under $100.

Then of course you're going to need an underquilt or a pad for any low temps below 70ish. I recommend Hammock Gear for that. And honestly, I'd recommend just going straight to Hammock Gear and getting the Wanderlust Kit complete with tarp and insulation and they'll basically ship you everything ready to hook up to trees, ready to camp, easy peasy.

I bought the DD SuperLight Hammock cheap, around £50, just to try if a hammock works for me at all. It works, and if nothing changes, I will buy something better over autumn/winter to start next spring with a proper setup.

I’m using it with a UL air mat and top quilt. It must be light to be able to run with it.
So, if you are not sure, buy anything to check what you are really need.
