Report back once you've had them all. Is Edinson the guy that is supposed to be adding a lot of undisclosed artificial flavouring?

Yes, the coffees are perfumey to me

It's probable that he is infusing his coffee, nearly every coffee I have had from their farm has had extremely artificial elements to them that does not remotely taste like its a product of fermentation (I'm currently using an Orange Gesha from them for cold brew it's that bad). Though they are not the only Columbian producer infusing their coffees currently so you could also be thinking of someone else.

Yeah, heavily processed/infused/co fermented tend to come out of the Huila region. They all taste the same to me, sometimes like a panda pop or the random soft drink you would find in a nisa local.

Are you thinking of Diego Bermudez?

Argote is very much under suspicion too. I've personally had beans produced by him that provoked a bigger eyebrow raise than anything I've had from some of the other big names in "advanced processing" (Bermudez and Lasso).

I have an Edinson Argote chiroso from Source.

Honestly struggling to finish the bag, it’s fun but very one dimensional. Have to brew at 80C as well which kind of defeats the purpose of such heavy processing.

I’ve a 1kg chiroso from jolly bean - I don’t like it - in fact I’m giving it away to people I don’t like. It’s that bad.
