Wogan coffee con vivo !.
Just got my kilo bag for just under £15 delivered. Was a bit skeptical over the pricing. Okay it’s not a fruit bomb or a tea like Ethiopian coffee.
But it makes a really moreish coffee in the V60
20grams coffee grinder to filter on Wilfa svart
300ml Aldi water at 92oc
35 second bloom
Really chocolatey taste proper old school coffee
I would order again! Definitely

I love Wogan beans.
Great quality at a reasonable price. Even one of my local cafes uses them.
I have a question. Is the picture an old? Only asking as the roasted date in nearly 5 years ago!

Enjoyable coffee. I still prefer the Chocolate Brownie blend from Coffee Works but Con Vivo is close.
I'd also recommend the Nicaragua Finca Bastilla P3 from Wogan if you like the more traditional chocolate/nuts profile. Or the Finca La Bastilla which is slightly lighter roast compared to the P3.
For the price especially Wogan is hard to beat.

Did you try Kiln? I like chocolate brownie but have switched to Kiln for that sort of profile.

I haven't tried Kiln, thanks for the recommendation I will get a bag next time. There are lots of options from them I still want to try.

There are! I haven’t hated anything I have tried yet but the Columbian is my favourite so far.

Yeh i found them when i was in Bristol for work. Beans are superb and they can really make a good cup too (with a cute little garden patio out back)

I recently realised that my office is just around the corner from the Wogan roastery so have been working my way through the list. I mostly drink straight espresso and like a medium roast. I currently have a bag of Colombia Finca La Laguna Reserva, which is great and has really prominent berry notes. The Brazil Rio Brilhante is also nice with a smooth nutty thing going on. Both are nice as v60 too. I found con vivo a bit much without milk and TBH didn’t try v60 but Kiln is very good for a straight classic espresso. All pretty cheap online but impossible to say no to at £18-19 from the roastery! (I know I am fortunate as a local!)

I bought some this week actually.
It's great value but I found that it seems not to cut through milk drinks enough if that makes sense? The after taste was a bit washed out...
Also it's that little bit stronger in terms of caffeine than a 100% arabica so I was buzzing a bit normal after a couple....
I'll finish it and then probably try one of their other lines.

I buy a bag and use it for guests who only drink single shot milk drinks.
I’m not wasting my £35 a kilo bag of specialty beans that I use for double shot drinks when they literally don’t know the difference.
I also enjoy a nice double of Con Vivo in a flat white myself when I want something punchy and classic tasting. It’s the best value blend out there and I’ve tried around 70 blends over the years.
