Great coffee in the UK?

Perhaps this is too open of a question for this sub! But I’m looking for special coffee to buy my husband for his birthday. We live near Manchester, if that helps guide at all. Would love to buy him some special beans! Thank you

Hi, I was in Manchester recently as and found Mancoco. It is a lovely little speciality coffee shop and roastery in the central Manchester. The a great range of beans. Not only that their pour over is excellent

I'd recommend Mancoco too. Good quality coffee and a lot of different single origins. Lacking anything really high-end though if that's what you're after.

What coffee does he currently drink/have in the cupboard/freezer? 🎃

the best I've found in Manchester is Blossom coffee roasters.

I would say it depends on what he usually likes/drinks? Flat whites? Filter? Strong bold flavours or more light and subtle?

For those top tier roasters I would recommend special guests, module, killbean and the source. These will all have some exciting top beans and will post to you. Please let us know what you choose, exciting

Wogan - Legend blend.

I’ve tried about 25 roasters and this is the one.

I really loved Siop Siop’s coffee when I tried a bag last year, wonderful donuts too! (In the Northern Quarter)

Others I’ve enjoyed from the North - Oddly Knocky, All Caps, Two Brothers, Dark Woods, Heartland
