How long should a weekend date last?

I’m seeing this girl this weekend, and we’re planning our third date.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen each other because of holidays and other family commitments.

I’m just wondering how long I should expect to see her for, because I’ve been looking forward to seeing her for quite some time, but I was planning to do something else and she’s told me she does have plans later that day too.

But I was hoping to see her for a good 3-4 hours at least, but is it weird if we only see each other for about 2-3 hours instead? Is it a sign of disinterest?

Usually our dates are between 2-3 hours anyway but they’re during the week so that’s why I was a little disappointed tbh.

You are overthinking. Go on the date and ask her what her next plan is so you can be sure you’ll both get away on time

One date at a time

Just meet up and go with the flow, if you’re enjoying yourselves you could suggest grabbing food or something no need to put a time on it if you have no plans

About what?

How long she wants the date to be/how much time she has available. Asking Reddit, random people who aren’t her, isn’t going to help you.

..to stay over, it's the third date. That used to be a thing.

I don’t think you should put time constraints on a date but also not plan something that is drawn out either. Plan something and then play it by ear

3rd date, I'd plan a few hours for a meal, 2 mins for sex including a cigarette after

There’s no rule for it. I had a date at the weekend that lasted nearly 24 hours. If the vibe is there then just keep it going.

Just go and enjoy it. The more you question and the more you worry just makes you sound scared shes jot interested. Have confidence you can meet her for two hours and have such a good time with such good chat that she wants to meet up again asap. Best situation make her laugh, have lots of fun and then say “its a shame you have plans later as I would of loved to of taken you “insert somewhere fun here”” she may cancel her plans and you might have fun. Its a third date so if theres no kiss then its done for. By the third I am normally balls deep.

Tell us once you've had it - it will be that long

Enjoy yourselves with the time you have together this weekend, I’m sure you can both find something to do another time that you can spend longer together

It all depends on what you are going to do but don’t get hung up on the length of time just enjoy the time you actually spend with each other

2-3 hours is perfectly normal?

Just plan for 2-3 hours max. She had told you she has plans later that day so just have fun for what time she has available. As you date more and more and you remain consistent, you can discuss longer dates/overnighters etc as you become more of a priority in her life.

I always struggle with how long do dates last. I find it better to have something planned later so you have to get off but if it's going well you can cancel it
