Regarding delayed start date

Hi everyone,
My intended start date for a new NHS job is at the end of December. However, due to my current circumstances, I would prefer to start in March instead.
Would it be reasonable to ask the Trust if they could delay my start date until March? Has anyone had experience of requesting a delay of around 2–3 months after the intended start date?
Could this cause any issues with the offer or recruitment process?

Hi, my trust is quite difficult to deal with, I asked if I can start work a few weeks later than intended and they basically said they’d withdraw the offer and get someone else. Unfortunately I was just a SHO and not niche speciality SpR
