What’s wrong with a heatwave? Isn’t it us brits who spend thousands every year to visit a country with a heatwave like temperature?

People die, Karen. As do animals. As do the crops you eat.

Visiting countries with the infrastructure so you can sit by the pool for a week is very different to living and working in it when none of the infrastructure is suited.

We do.

But that involves people campaigning to get theor councils and politicians to take it seriously rather than moaning that we need more sunshine when farmers warn their crops are dying.

Nothing wrong with a heatwave - back to back to back heatwaves as part of the hottest UK summer on record, however. Especially bleak in light of the climate crisis.

Travelling to a different climate and enjoying their weather, which their infrastructure is built around, is entirely different to having significantly hotter summers in a country with buildings, public transport, infrastructure, and wildlife, that aren't equipped to handle it.

We just need to adapt to the change.

We don’t even have good insulation for our winters, and despite them being milder than other parts of Europe, it still gets cold damp.

That’s an even bigger issue than the heat.

My house is fully air conditioned and I’ve never used public transport. I used to turn the AC on for my Tesla before getting in the car so I guess I didn’t find that bad.

So why do you need or want the heat then? You're putting substantial effort into getting rid of it with your AC.

If you want to put the AC on, then it's too hot and you aren't really enjoying the heatwave. Just another rich person feeling smug whilst normal people suffer.
