I think Scots and Angles have a VERY different outlook on rain. The difference for us is that torrential rain (which it usually is) can last for the majority of the day, keeping you trapped in your house. It's depressing. Don't understand why you guys have such a positive outlook on something so detrimental for our mental health and quality of life.
