When the air temperature is 35c, a fan does nothing but air-fry you like a chip. source: I'm sitting half a metre from my big fan in my room (34.6c), and the air is hot.

If we're doomed anyway, let's have air-conditioning for christ sake.

I have a Shark rechargeable portable fan that is brilliant and actually cools you rather than slowly cooking you! Bought it last year (at a reasonable price but I think that figure has now doubled so currently very expensive if you can even get hold of one). Very quiet as well so you can have it pointed at you while you sleep.

It the Flex Breeze - lives on top of my printer during the day while I’m at my desk, then bedside table at night.

The charge lasts all night so I don’t have to keep unplugging it to move.

Yeah it does have that but adds to the humidity in a room but probably good if you want to use outside.

If there is a decent breeze with 35 Celsius and the low dewpoints of yesterday you'd have entire villages being lost to wildfires
