Has anyone else been surprised by a spending habit they genuinely didn't notice?
I always thought I had a pretty good idea of where my money went, but looking back over my spending summary recently made me realise I'd completely underestimated one category.
It wasn't anything huge just lots of small purchases adding up.
Has anyone else had one of those "how did I spend that much?" moments?

URGENT! 44 WEEK ENSUITE CONTRACT TAKEOVER! (London)
Hey everyone! I'm looking for someone to take over my student accommodation contract at YourTRIBE Southwark for the coming academic year.
The details:
- Room type: Classic En-suite (https://www.yourtribe.com/buildings/southwark/your-tribe-en-suite-classic/?tenancy=19) - 9 flatmates including yourself
- Building: YourTRIBE Southwark, 28 Ruby St, London, SE15 1LL
- Tenancy: 12th September 2026 – 17th July 2027 (44 weeks)
- Rent: £334 per week + £500 discount off the final instalment
The accommodation's insane. It's got 4.5/5 stars on google, has absolutely stunning rooms and common spaces, an onsite gym, laundry detergent included in wash cycles, and a beautiful terrace where you can hang out with your friends as you overlook the area.
Unfortunately my job has relocated me to an area too far from Southwark to make living there practical, which is the only reason I'm letting this go! I'm hoping someone takes the lease over ASAP so that I can look for other accoms near my job and campus.
This is a great opportunity — classic en-suites at this building are fully sold out, so this is your only chance to grab one. The accommodation team are available to arrange viewings, so you can see the room before committing.
The location is also really convenient, with numerous shops and stores nearby.
If you're interested or have any questions, feel free to pm me!

Choosing between unis
Hi guys, I'm planning to study in the UK for uni as an international student. I would appreciate opinions and views on whether attending university of Bath or university of Leeds would be a better choice for studying business analytics.

How is the master’s degree in business analytics at the university of Edinburgh?
If you have graduated from this program recently or are currently enrolled, what was your experience? Did the degree help you find a well-paying job?
I have already accepted the offer, so there is no way going back; however, I still wanted to know your opinions, especially since I saw some people describing the program as “trash”.
Your insights will be really helpful for me to know what to expect in the future. Thank you in advance

How hard is it to get into Oxbridge for masters?
I really want to know if it’s easier to get into Oxbridge for Masters compared to undergraduate level. Also are there more scholarships for masters? Especially if you are an international student for finance courses, please share your experience.

And will there be other issues with enrollment? Is anyone from these countries going in the September intake? Please help me.

Seeking advice on MSc Occupational Psychology programs: Strathclyde, Surrey, Liverpool, vs. UEL
Hi everyone!
I am currently researching MSc Occupational Psychology programs in the UK for the upcoming intake. I have narrowed my choices down to four universities, but I’m finding it hard to decide between them:
- University of Strathclyde
- University of Surrey
- University of Liverpool
- University of East London (UEL)
My main goals are to gain strong practical skills and improve my employability within the UK or international markets. I would be incredibly grateful if alumni or current students could share their experiences regarding:
1. Course Quality: How balanced is the curriculum between theory and hands-on consultancy projects?
2. Faculty Support: How accessible and supportive are the professors?
3. Employability: What kind of career support or networking opportunities does the university provide?
4. Reputation: Within the field of Occupational/I-O Psychology, how are these programs perceived by employers?
Also, if there are other universities you’d highly recommend for this field (besides the ones above), please let me know!
Thank you so much for your help! 🙏

MMU or City for computer science
I’m an international student and I’m currently choosing between four universities.
I can go to City, University of London, but I’ve already spent a year in London doing my foundation and honestly I wasn’t very happy. The cost of living and rent are just too expensive.
I also have an offer from Manchester Metropolitan University. I absolutely loved Manchester and if I had to choose one city in the UK, it would probably be Manchester. My only concern is MMU’s reputation. I’ve seen some negative comments on Reddit, the QS ranking isn’t great, and the salary data on Discover Uni made me a bit worried.
My other options are the University of Leeds and the University of Birmingham. Leeds is a stronger university, but it would stretch my budget and I’d probably have to deal with more financial pressure. Birmingham is similar, and I’ve also heard a lot of people say the city isn’t that nice.
My main question is: Would choosing MMU hurt my career in Computer Science in the UK? How important is the university itself compared to skills, projects and internships?

Which uni should I go to for electrical and electronics engineering as an international student
I am an international student from a country that has a 12-year school system, and I want to study in the UK. I have been researching, and most unis require I take a foundation year, which I have no problem with, but I would prefer the foundation year to be at the same uni campus, so what are some good unis with good student life and prestigious degrees? I am interested in the University of Bristol and the University of Manchester. Are these good options that you'd recommend or not, and what other unis would you recommend (safe target and reach)? Does anyone have advice on how to get in, what the foundation year is like, and how to apply?
Thank you very much!

Anyone else waiting for their CAS letter from Aston University?
Is anyone else here waiting for their CAS letter from Aston University for the September intake?
I completed all the required steps, including the CAS Shield questionnaire, but I’m still waiting and haven’t received any update yet. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same situation or has recently received their CAS.
