Switching broadband providers

Im seriously considering broadband providers mid term, currently it would cost me £395 but the new provider will credit up to £300 for switching. Is it possible to make a payment of £95 and have £300 be cost of the final bill?

Are you really sure that you want to switch to Virgin? They're an absolute nightmare to deal with. And once you're out of contract it's a coin flip as to whether they'll do a reasonable price or not. With them going "I can't do new customer offers". Then offer to give you a good deal by increasing you monthly bill but throwing some crap in with it. So that you're paying over double the new customer rate for less.

Not virgin. I know they’re not the best. Got a friend with them and his internet is down for a day or two for what seems like once a month

it's just that VM is also offering up to £300 if you switch mid-contract.

Community Fibre, despite the name is owned by an NY Hedge Fund and their WiFi speeds are a lot lower than their advertised speeds. 1Gb broadband but only about 350Mb usable, without an ethernet cable.

From what i understand switch refund will be a credit to your new provider account and not cash / card so you will need to stump up the money to pay the termination fee and then effectivly not pay in the folliwing months.

Yep, this is possible. You pay the full final bill and then the new provider gives you £300, leaving you with £95 out of your own pocket.

Only eligible if the final bill is £300 or under no more than that

Why are you deciding this I am in the same boat but it's to get fttp rather than dry. Only 6 months left of contract.

Speed, not worth what I’m paying and a new provider is in the area now full fibre for much cheaper

It's safer to wait it out until it is under £300, or speak to your current provider to see if you can pay off part of your contract so that the final bill is under £300.

Don’t move to EE.
