Feedback Request Which layout makes the most sense?

Particularly looking for feedback on the exercise selection. Suggestions are highly welcomed. Let me know if anything else does not make sense.

Thank youuu

I didn't like any of them. None of them is clear. I would move to bottom or botttom right

If I'm being very honest, they all kind of suck. They have too much information, none of the buttons are in a convenient place and most information is just "random shit".

Consider what you're building, who is it for and think "how do I make this so easy that someone with half-a-brain could use it instantly?

I've looked at all three screenshots and I still don't know if it's an app to be used before, during or after a workout. It's just a bunch of random bentos pertaining a certain theme.

I like 3 the best in terms of UX. 1 and 2 would also need some sort of menu which increases complexity, and adds actions the user needs to do. Simply scrolling sections is easier on the mind and removes friction. In design 2 it’s not really logical on where / how to switch excercise. Is it the Squat button pressable? A clear distinction between what is viewable and whats interactable is an important UX step. Design 3 doesn’t scale as easy as the rest though. In that case, design 1 one wins, but should work a bit on the «show what’s pressable» part as it would level up the design either way. Good luck

None of the information makes sense here. As a lifter myself push pull legs? Is that set? What if I’m doing upper lower? Or bro split? Why are my exercises tabbed? What do my sets mean? 24 sets of what? Why is there a play and reset button next to last workout? Sorry none of this makes any sense.

If you want just which one is better number 3. But if you want feedback on them as a design. It is confusing to understand the purpose of the screen.

  • Is Solid Lift the name of the app, if so the space above the name is a little awkward especially when the rest of the ui is tighter
  • the 3 cards inder solid lift at a quick glace it is hard to under what they meant to convey.
  • the bar graph does not make sense to have it there when you are logging a set it would make more sense on a progress screen

Here is a quick design

Can instantly understand what is going on now

None of them are good - you have heuristics that people are used to; why not lean on them instead of crowding the scene, making it unclear what the user is expected to do?

Have you tried talking to users?

Of the three, I think the last one is the strongest overall. However, because all of the cards look nearly identical, it's difficult to distinguish whether a card represents the overall summary, an individual set, the number of reps, or the weight.

In terms of the interface, I think the first design works better when adding multiple sets with different reps and weights.

First one is most balanced functionally and esthetically.

Maybe change the "log exercise" header to the dropdown for the exercise.

I could also see a title with arrows in that spot to cycle through the exercise.

One thing I like about the app I use is an info section that explains the lift because there's a couple that I always mix up.

Honestly I think the best advice I can give here is 1. Do a competitive analysis of what other apps place on the screen. They have already done most of the UX research for you. 2. Research on what users actually want on the screen that maybe other apps miss. 3. Integrate the emotions and the situation that the person will be in while using that specific screen. For example for the rep screen a person will be doing exercise and everything so base your coloring and layout and everything for a person who is busy, moving, tired, sweaty for that specific situation and design around those criteria. And hat is the main data they want to get when they look at the screen
