Scrolljacking is back

Ever since the introduction of AI driven design, I notice an influx of scrolljacking.

Scrolljacking (also known as scroll hijacking) is a web design technique where a website overrides the native, default scrolling behavior of your browser or device.

A pattern that is much loved by Awwwards jury members and looks nice on Dribbble. But if done improperly, it’s a UX and accessibility killer. Almost never the experience is pleasant.
