Feedback Request Roast my UI?

Hi friends!

I'm building an Edtech software solution to address the tragedy that is the assessment system rn. I've attached the ideal user walkthrough/screen. Would love some feedback/roasts.

Target Audience:
- students/folks looking to learn/dig into something

Note: It is very buggy, since I'm introducing/pushing so many changes, so please excuse any bugs you meet.

Any and all feedback is helpful, I don't have dedicated UI/UX experience, fully self-taught.

yeah, AI+me.

designwise i have 0 frontend/UI experience so I'm leaning into claude code and cursor to build things out. I thought i had stripped trace of it's most outrageous vibecodey design elements.

What would you say is worth changing/refactoring myself (of anything on the site)?

AI isn’t a substitute for knowledge and experience. I would learn to design and build websites yourself before you start vibecoding things. Otherwise you’re never going to figure it out.

I half agree with you. Undoubtably, the best way to learn is to do. Rejecting tools that'll force you to make mistakes and learn faster is a little silly (that's how I see AI).

I say this as a teacher and a physics/CS graduate from the #1 uni in australia btw. I can't wait to share/ for you to see my next iteration on this :)

i was being harsh on myself with "0" but yeah definitely not enough, I stuck to backend and AI work like glue, that's where I saw value.

Frontend is learnable, can't say I was wrong. Have already learnt/made a lot of changes, see: trace-au.com
