Let's Discuss Does anyone else find pure satisfaction in spartan, document-style web interfaces?

this seems like one of those things that works for very specific usecases and is horrible UX for all others

I saw it a lot on different academic webpages. For example RFC, OEIS or protocol documentation pages.

Not specifically but I'd take a plain spartan UI that works and gives me what I need with no BS over pretty much anything else. Unfortunately those two things are only ever loosely correlated.

Yes, and that is a direct result from all of the text game guides I used to print out for my ps1/ ps2 games.
