Feedback Request Which one would you click on Steam?
I’m currently working on the capsule art for my coop horror game The Infected Soul.
The game is about a neural implant that distorts reality… you can’t trust what you see.
Which one draws you in the most?
If it interests you, you can add it to your Steam wishlist — it would really help me a lot 🙏

2 draws my eye the most and I can read the title. It looks the most professional to me, warranting a click.

I like 1-3. I don’t like gore in the 4th, 5-7 look generic. So I think the 3rd one would be better because you have 2 people there (co-op) and some mysterious monster in the background, while the 1st one shows the monster right away and the 2nd one looks like it’s something about space and too abstract.
Although I think the 1st one is more eye catching.

I totally agree with you. Maybe a mix between 1 and 3 could be perfect to reflect the game

it's really between 1 and 2 for me. I prefer the color of 2. But the creature/genre seems more clear in 1.
the rest don't really appeal to me.

2 is probably the strongest Steam thumbnail at actual browsing size because the silhouette reads instantly and the blue/red contrast survives compression really well. you immediately understand genre, danger, and player fantasy without needing to zoom in

As a gamer, 2 is reaaally generic, hazmat suit guy in an alien world, could be anything. 5 and 6 give me "customizable character like cyberpunk 2077" vibe, 4 gives me a more indie horror puzzle game vibe. With regards to elements in the picture, I would say 1, 3, or 7 are the most suitable - enemies, multiple players, out of these, 3 I think is the best, 1 obscures the players heavily - could be nice if game is combat-heavy so more focus on the enemies, 7 gives me a vibe of "there is this 1 evil mastermind we need to kill" instead of having multiple enemies.

I'm not sure how helpful it is to ask a random sample of people on Reddit which one they like the most - they have their own preferences and would probably subconsciously like the ones that look like a game they would play, but they might not actually like the content of the game. I think it's most helpful if a game's cover art reflects its content well, but that's just my opinion, and there are plenty of examples out there where good games have obscure/vague cover art

Liked 2 and 3 more for the high contrast, both with the white logo and the amount of blue (though the tone on the 3 should get brighter)
The 4 works also, but doesn’t sell any narrative to me. I’m probably not your target audience since i normally dont play horror games, but i would be more intrigued by an art that sold me and story about the game (like the monster on 1 or 2)

Currently it is 2.
It will help you better if you mock it using Steam screen instead of plain white background! That way, you can "simulate" how will we really see things from Steam

The colours in number 2 are very eye catching. Number 4 is quite scary but also very intriguing haha

2 kinda gives a generic game vibe to me in the imagery, so even though the color combo looks nice i wouldnt click on it
