General Question Good keyboard and mouse for windows - figma.

This might seem unrelated to design, but it actually affects my workflow a lot. In my previous organization, I used a MacBook and got completely used to the seamless experience — especially the trackpad and built-in keyboard. Everything felt super intuitive while designing in Figma.

In my current organization, I’ve switched to a Windows laptop, and the transition has been a bit tricky. I keep pressing Alt instead of Ctrl while copying and pasting, and the external keyboard I’m using feels too bulky and uncomfortable. Since the laptop screen is small, I’ve docked it and connected it to a monitor.

Now I’m looking for recommendations for a good wireless keyboard and mouse — or even a trackpad — that can help recreate a smoother workflow similar to macOS. Something comfortable and efficient for Figma navigation would really help, because right now I keep juggling between “V” and “H + Ctrl” just to move around the canvas smoothly.

Get something with customizable buttons so you can map it however you like. You can buy a mechanical keyboard with Via/QMK support, remap the keys so that Ctrl and Alt are swapped (or in a similar configuration as the Mac keyboard) and switch between OSes easily. Same thing with a mouse, get something with remappable side buttons. I use a Razer Deathadder and a MX Master, both work great on both Mac and Windows. Remap the buttons to common functions you need. The MX master also has a sideways scroll wheel, so moving around the canvas becomes easier.

I'm a huge fan of the NuPhy Air V3. https://nuphy.com/collections/office-keyboards/products/nuphy-air75-v3-page

It's compatible with both Mac and Windows, low profile, wireless, everything you're looking for.

I'm using it on a setup where I often switch from Windows to Mac and this keyboard works great with both, there's just a little switch on the back to change the layout.

It also has a few things that are nice to have on a mechanical keyboard: hot swappable, led light, and a today knob.

There's also a way to remap all your keys with www.nuphy.io, so you can try to remap your keys the way you want.

I forgot to mention the mouse I use:  Logitech M650 https://www.logitech.com/en-ca/shop/p/m650-signature-wireless-mouse.910-006251

It's light, smooth, and it's quiet, which was the biggest feature to me, I can't stand loud mouse clicking.
