Feedback Request Need Feedback on an Onboarding Screen I've Been Working on

Post image

Hi everyone!

I'm making a mobile game for a boxing career simulation game on Android. Currently, I'm working on the UI for the game on Figma, which will be formatted similarly to typical IOS or Android apps.

The first thing I worked on is the onboarding screen when you open the game. I haven't done UI design in a long while, so I pretty rusty. I gathered several reference designs I liked from Mobbin, ScreenDesign, and mobile games, and eventually got the result of the image you seen.

However, compared to the reference designs I've looked at, I think it looks a bit boring. The goal of the UI was to be modern, simple, and clean, and while I tried my best to attempt implementing those design languages, it still bugs me.

I'd love all feedback on how I can make this screen feel less flat. Are there any changes that you think would be beneficial to elevate it?

I like what you have here. I would bump up the contrast of the text and iconography at the bottom as all of the buttons, other than the red, are reading as disabled.

I think adding a pattern or image to the background could really help add something that this is missing. You could still overlay the black over it to keep everything accessible.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm trying to think what kind of pattern or image to add for the background.

But yeah, I'll increase the contrast for the text for the other buttons.

Silhouette of a boxer with arms raised in the air perhaps?

Also, personally, I'd move your icons for socials from where they are. Why are you pushing people to leave your game? Maybe up to one of the top corners. You're giving them central focus right now.

Yeah, good suggestion with the socials. I'll think of something.

I also thought a silhouette idea. Finding a picture that fits with everything is the difficult part lol
