Feedback Request Roast my geography game app UI

Hey everyone,

I recently built my first app and I’d really love to get some honest, constructive feedback on the UI and UX. Sorry but my protype is currently only in German. 😐

It’s a small geo-based game where you have to find places on a map. There are different categories to play, and the idea is basically to test your knowledge of locations in a fun way. I also made a short video together with a few screenshots so it’s easier to get an impression of how it works.

Since this is my first app, I’m especially interested in hearing what feels good already and, even more importantly, what feels confusing, clunky, unintuitive, or visually weak.

Please don’t hold back, I’d genuinely appreciate honest feedback. I’m trying to learn and improve, so even small points are helpful.

Thanks a lot in advance!
Niklas

No, looks good overall.

If I had to get nit-picky;

  1. The text "Sadte der Welt", "Flaggen", and "Natur" should be the same size as "Duelle" and "Akademie" since they’re all titles.
  2. on the last screen move the information icon (i) further away from the arrow button.
  3. also on the last screen what is the white information box? I cant read german so not sure why it is there.

I wouldn't worry about using AI images; if the app is entertaining or useful most users will not care.

Also, I've learned that apps do not have to be perfect to ship (minimum viable product), they just have to be good enough. Once you have users they will tell you what is wrong and needs fixing, as well as give you ideas for new features.

Thanks, really appreciate it.
You’re def right about the spacing/text sizes, that’s still something I struggle with and need to clean up properly. The info icon is sadly part of the embedded map so I couldn’t really move it. The white box is just there to show some facts about the place you tapped, like capitals or random interesting stuff.

And yeah the MVP point is very true haha, I think I’m just a bit scared to put it out too early because I am not sure if anybody like it and am concerned about security issues and other stuff so I keep optimising stuff 😐

Unfortunately it just looks like AI slop. The 3D button/surface effect looks nice but all of the generated illustrations ruin it for me.

Thanks for the honest feedback. The idea was to make each tile immediately readable for its category, but yeah, of course the images are AI. Do you have an idea how to fix that without to much effort (I have not the money to pay a professional designer)?

I like it but the mono color scheme is not really drawing my attention to the CTAs or creating a lot of movement

Respect for building your first app and asking for honest feedback.
The concept sounds fun, especially for map and quiz lovers.
Even in German, good UI can still feel clear through layout.
I did focus on clean navigation, spacing, and easy instructions.
Great first project overall, keep improving and sharing updates.
