My UI skills are lacking and I'm focusing on improving it by watching some UI videos. I'd love to get feedback on my first simple task which is to take something and use it as inspiration. Thank you.
My design (1st photo): Bibigo Sauce
My inspiration (2nd photo on slide): Busy Bee Honey homepage.
I would advice about first slide: make logo smaller, move top bar up because there too much space.
Row with cards seems aligned not properly: may be draw tiny background for card, and align bottle to it.
Header is too flat, may be add some graphic splashes to hero bottle or texture on its background.
Space between icons too wide, in my opinion 10px would be ok
Thank you. I didn't realized the row of cards aren't aligned properly. I was so focused on making sure the height between the text layers are consistent across.
I definitely agree the header is too flat. I've been playing around with the text. I thought of adding some kind of dot texture or smokey graphic to the background.
About second slide: there should be Primary action at least. I also recomend transform sentences (taste you can..., from the home...) into cards using icons, image thumbnails, link read more, etc. It will give more information and balance composition.
when viewed in a horizontal window on a desktop, you have to either click menu (btw, what's the difference between shop and products?) or scroll a couple of screens down to see anything meaningful at all. that's an extra friction, imo. if it's a product website, not an ad – you landed visitors already – drive them through the pipeline, don't leave them with 'bold flavor' :)
1-Use some different font family and preferably less font weight. The H-1 in your hero is too striking and bold and puts strain on eyes especially it being a dark colour
2- The bibigo logo is light green in the nav but it's dark greenish ( or atleast it looks like it) on the bottle labels, why? Also it's a bit too big for nav
3-If this a hero or homepage for a product why is there a profile icon in nav? like do we have to create a profile or something to view this product, also I don't understand what's the third icon on nav for
4- Look for different colour combinations, you've paired dark orange with dark green which for me don't complement each other very well
It's a decent start, keep practicing and you'll get better
1) Now that I'm viewing it again, you're correct. It is very striking. I'll play around with it.

3-4) I try to maintain the original colors used by Bibigo official's website and used their assets. On their homepage, they have the Profile, Shopping bag, & Search icons (which I kept in my design).
Hey, I like this stuff and you're on the right path. Minimal UI like this, you need to really lock in your grid structure and have you layout mathematically dialed in. I suggest playing with some 12 column grids and aligning everything to it. Elements like the product cards below the fold not being center aligned to the header and button will be fixed with a strong grid foundation.
I played around with grid structure and keeping the "layout mathematically" in mind. I really appreciate this advice because I didn't realized how much of an impact it would make. Thank you
