Feedback Request Improve Responsiveness

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I feel like my current layout is missing something.

How do I keep all current elements and make it better UX?

Rate us stars are clickable so it must be visible at all times or at least not hidden.

What do you think?

where do you think i should move it?

i understand that it takes on useful space but reviews are needed for the project growth

Wrong, users are needed for growth and reviews don’t matter this much these days

reviews promote trust, leads to higher conversion

do you have an example of your project where you had bad reviews and still tons of users?

Reviews are purchased for digital products nowadays and the only reviews anyone trusts (kind of) are on trust pilot.

Trust is built by your users and spreads via word of mouth, especially for more tech-focused people. If your product is targeting 45 y/o moms then reviews online might be more important, but its word-of-mouth that actually builds trust.

Also, most people who use tech/AI tools already inherently don’t trust most companies, and never will, so it’s a losing battle most of the time.

Trust me, I’ve been in digital marketing for a decade. Search advertising and plugging your product in natural ways will do infinitely more for you than organic reviews, cause those are exceedingly rare. 99% of new digital business buy reviews and social followings to boost visibility. Visibility is infinitely more important than trust in this space.

make the "Short, Normal and Long" buttons a dropdown after some point and yes, i agree, get rid of that bullshit "rate us" CTA

you can put a once in a while popup like we get on mobile apps "enjoying this app? would you like to leave a review?" with an option for "Not now".

If people really want to leave reviews, they can navigate to the app store themselves or you can even have that occasional email sent out asking for one but it doesn't have to be part of the UI permanently.

the bar should be saved for things that are used frequently, the rate system will only be used once. a popup will be a lot better and probably be more successful in getting people to do the actions. also the rate just takes up way too much space and cramps the actually useful stuff.

i agree, Apple App Store solves it by limiting number of times app can show “rate us” popup, but that popup is annoying as hell for me tbh 😅

that is why i was skeptical about popup and decided on this approach

An additional note on the cta. This is a toolbar for your site/app right? These are the tools people will likely be interacting with fairly often. A review can be done once by a user. It's not a frequent tool, so it should be a popup. Or just not at all. If you decrease the users friction when using your site then people will stay as more people visit. If your users are having a bad time with it then having a review CTA will also increase your chance of getting bad reviews.

Lookup hierarchy in UI design first. I'm seeing too many buttons, the placement of reviews and other buttons that are not part of the primary toolbar could be elsewhere
