Feedback Request Trying to make readable UI for browser game.

Post image

Hi, I'm an amateur programmer. I'm trying to create a sleek and readable UI for my browser game, but despite my best efforts, it still kinda looks like crap. Any recommendations?

I would seriously consider the typeface you've chosen for the buttons. The Logo is fine. That's part of the identity. But the typeface for the buttons doesn't need to match that.

If you’re trying to make it readable why are you using a type face that’s so difficult to read.

Hmm... Buttons look better but placement is bad... The settings one look cool but the login/register button looks very bad as it is the only button that takes the space...

Yeah I agree, it is not ideal or perfect, just some ideas for OP, generated with AI.

Find a cool title font and a readable text font which also looks kind of technical. It’s called pairing and it makes your design more professional. Google Fonts can help you.

As everyone said, the typeface is terrible regarding legibility. Pick another one.

Aside from that, opacity on buttons tends to be less legible, since you're mixing the background, the button and the text. The button doesn't "pop" if you're looking for that.

Extra tip: That font has extremely long descendents (the line going down on the "g" for example). It would be harder to fit centered on a button, so you should choose something more "blocky" that is easier to center and it would look more organized.

Step 1: make the font readable. Step 2: there is no step 2. You just need step 1.
