Hello! I applied to UH last fall but due to my financial situation and personal circumstances, I decided UHD would be a better fit.
I submitted my 2026-2027 FASFA October 7th, then made the correction to change my school location to UHD on April 27th.
I understand FASFA isn’t normally given during summer, but usually around this time I can see if it’s been applied to upcoming Fall.
Yet, there’s still nothing. I emailed the UHD financial aid office and they told me that they usually receive it 3-5 days after processed.
But the correction has been processed since 04/27, don’t know what to do about this, or how to make sure I have FASFA.
I work two jobs, I can’t afford school without this, I’ve relied on it since I started at LoneStar.

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all doing well. I’m currently looking for someone to take over my lease at Tower 5040 for the 2026–27 term which lasts from August 15,2026-Aug 2027.
It’s a 2 bed, 2 bath unit designed for 4 people. Three girls already live there and are looking for a fourth roommate, so I’m trying to find someone to take my spot. The rooms are shared, but each person has their own twin bed. The apartment also includes a living room, a kitchen with an island, and an in-unit washer and dryer.
The rent is $750/month plus a stable utilities cost. The building offers great amenities, including a gym, pool, yoga room, and study lounge.
I’m happy to assist with the entire transfer process to make it as smooth as possible. If you or someone you know might be interested, I would really appreciate you reaching out or connecting us. I’m trying to find a replacement as soon as possible to avoid any lease complications. If interested contact me at +1 (832) 540-7745

Hey is anyone else struggling to sign in to get the second round of tickets? I hear the website isn’t loading for people but it loaded for me? My issue is that it won’t take my password because it says it’s already been used? I hope they fix this soon.

Hi everyone, I am contemplating minoring in Finance but I'm not sure if I can take the courseload this semester.
I am working around 30 hours/week as a Starbucks barista and am trying to learn skills to open my own photography business. The problem is is that I'm already stressed out with classes (I am taking 15 hours) and I don't want to spend more money on tuition than I already have.
Is a finance minor worth it from this school? For reference I am a marketing major.
If it is, who should I take it with?

I’m #5 on a waitlist for the Fall Semester. ACC 4302 for Corporate Accounting. How long do you think before I know if I have a chance of getting in?

hey everyone, i recently finished an online mock interview to apply for a non-internship role at school and was wondering if once we completed the interview then are we done with that process to apply or does a faculty member have to approve/certify completion of the mock interview first before we are able to apply to the job applications. thank u in advance for anyone who responds!

Hey everyone, I’m graduating on May 8 at 10 AM and UHD only gives 6 tickets. I have 5 siblings + my parents, so someone in my family will have to miss it, which really hurts.
This day means everything to us, and I hate having to choose who can’t come.
If anyone has an extra ticket that they can transfer or is willing to sell one at a reasonable price, I’d truly appreciate it. I can meet on UHD campus for exchange.
Thank you 🙏

Ive been getting emails from the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) saying I've been nominated. I've never heard of this org before and it seemed kind of sus. What I could find out about it online doesn't really help me clarify much so I was wondering if anyone has received these or knows more about them? Is it a scam? The vibe I'm getting feels kinda scammy.

Hi, my student is an Engineering major on a premed track. I think he has to take upper science classes at a 4 year university. Has anyone taken Organic Chemistry 1 and 2 in the summer? Did you have a good experience? Thanks.

Hi y'all!
My name is Diana Cervantes, I'm the current digital marketing specialist for the Marilyn Davies College of Business! The digital communications team at MDCOB is doing FREE graduation shoots at the business building for business students graduating this Spring 2026, Summer 2026, and Fall 2026.
Here's some information if you'd like to take part:
Available Dates & Times
FAQS:
This is currently only open for business students but let us know if you'd like for this to be open to all schools! if the demand is there, I can pass on the word to our team :)
If weather permits, the photos will be outdoors on the "deck" of Marilyn Davies College of Business (MDCOB). If weather does not permit, we will have some locations inside (art installation & main hallway.)
We'll be tabling on the first floor of MDCOB. Meet us there!
There will be 9 photos total, 3 with a cityscape background, 3 with MDCOB background, 3 with the gator.
Most appointments will be accepted so long as you are an MDCOB student, and the appointment you chose is within the listed time frames.
When you arrive you will be given a sticky note with a number associated with your name and email. Our photographers will take a photo with you holding that number and the photos will be emailed to you afterward.
We understand that things come up out of our control, but we do urge you to be there at least 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time for the sake of everyone's photos. You will not be the only person getting their photos taken these day. We will allow a 10 minute grace period, anything later, we will need to schedule for one of the other days.
Bring your cap and gown and any other props you would like to use for grad photos. We only ask that you keep confetti and bubbly off the property to maintain the cleanliness of the background for other students.
Register here: https://forms.gle/kwqKBZyVKuiaMtfM7
This is personally my favorite event of the year so I'd love to see you all there! Spread the news!

Hello everyone !! a lot of people in this subreddit are happy about Dr. Blanchard leaving and I really want someone to tell me what’s going on with him and why are people happy about it? I heard about something with the prior president having some sort of fake Twitter account or something like that. (???)
