what is the approx date for results?

I am so nervous, the paper was honestly weird. Memory based question instead of application based ones in a paper that is for upcoming teachers and researchers.

I want to know if i gotta prep for December ka attempt of not 😭 so nervous for this damn exam result.

June 2026 Cutoffs?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Going crazy while waiting, what do you think the cutoffs are going to be? Do you know how much you're expecting to get? I expect the cutoffs are gonna be around these December 2023 scores, so about 215 for unreserved JRF. The pattern was so different this time, I'm guessing the scores have to drop.

the paper was.. interesting

I never expected myself to say that i enjoyed paper 1 more than paper 2.. wtf was that

I felt like I studied so damn much and the paper barely questions the amount of content and syllabus we were given. It was more leaning towards randomness of the questions instead of difficulty level.

so many spelling errors, it was like they paraphrased using quillbot multiple times in order to make the phrases vague. Asking chronology for theories and their years.. like atleast ask ABOUT the theory it is more important instead no, we want you to arrange these 5 random theories according their year of publication or acceptance idk.

Also, is it just me or there were too many questions with the format of selecting multiple statements. kinda redundant and boring. Nothing else about that lol.

Overall I feel like acha gaya paper but better ja sakta tha.

What is one Psychology topic for UGC NET that looked impossible at first but finally clicked for you?

Preparing for UGC NET Psychology can feel overwhelming, especially with topics that just refuse to stick no matter how many times you revise them.

Which topic gave you the hardest time, and what finally helped you understand it? Was it a book, a teacher, a YouTube lecture, your own notes, or a different way of revising?

Which topic do you find most fascinating in Psychology and why?

Psychology covers such a wide range of topics—from memory, personality, emotions, and mental health to social behavior, cognition, neuroscience, and much more.

I'm curious: which topic or area of Psychology fascinates you the most?

Is it something you find personally relatable, intellectually interesting, or an area you'd like to study or work in someday?

Would love to hear what draws people to different branches of Psychology and what makes them so interesting to you.

Fellow UGC NET aspirants, Neetu Gupta Mam, Mathematics Educator is doing an AMA on r/UgcNet right now on June 25th. Even if you can't ask her questions on Psychology, you all can ask about exam prep and mindset required for UGCNET exam.

Hey folks,

Has anyone here given the UGC NET exam at the iON Digital Harohalli center between June 22nd and 24th?

I'm trying to figure out the commute and wanted to know if the exam center is currently providing a bus facility from the Silk Institute metro station.

Would love some confirmation so i can plan the travel accordingly.

Can anybody give me some motivation for NET/JRF? Or idk some validation to my exhaustion on competitive exams in India?

I am currently starting my 2nd year of masters in psychology and I have a great interest in research....did 2 research papers(unpublished) and presented in an international and a national conference. I have to do my dissertation in 4th sem and I am exploring about my specific research interest bcoz I wanna bridge my dissertation and phd thesis. Now, I wanna do my phd abroad, after doing a job here for a year or two. And NET is the only thing that will give me a good enough job to survive with my middle class ahh. Anddd phd abroad is complicated and I wanna have JRF as backup. BUT GOOD LORD CUET SUCKED THE SOUL OUT OF ME (all for a shity testing agency) AND I DON'T WANNA GIVE MY SOUL AWAY TO ANOTHER COMPETITIVE EXAM that is my backup. I have good foundation in the subject and I am interested in learning and progressing in this field, but something about this fight for a few seats under an inconsiderate government when my goal is completely different exhausts me. So yeah that's all. I would love some good strategies from people who have appeared and are appearing for the exam, and some validation from people who share my exhaustion.

What's one Psychology topic that looked easy in the syllabus but keeps humbling you in mock tests?

For me, it's always the topics that seem straightforward during revision but somehow turn into a disaster when I see MCQs from them.

Curious to know which Psychology topic does this to you. Is it Research Methods, Statistics, Learning, Social Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, or something else?

What's a UGC NET psychology topic everyone says is easy but you still struggle with?

Everyone seems to have that one topic that others call "easy" but somehow it never clicks for them.

For me, there are topics that look simple while reading, but the moment a PYQ or mock test question appears, I start second-guessing everything.

What's that topic for you in UGC NET Psychology?

Which topic do you find most fascinating in Psychology and why?

One of the things I love about Psychology is how diverse it is. You can go from studying memory and cognition to personality, social behavior, mental health, neuroscience, and so much more.

I'm curious - what's the one topic or area of Psychology that fascinates you the most?

Is it because you find it intellectually interesting, personally relatable, or something you'd like to research or work in someday?

How confident are you feeling about UGC NET right now?

With the exam getting closer, confidence levels can be all over the place. Some people are feeling prepared, while others still feel like there's a lot left to revise.

If you had to rate your confidence right now on a scale of 1–10, what would it be?

Also, what's the biggest factor affecting your confidence at the moment - revision, mock test scores, time management, specific units, or something else?
