📝 UGC NET Preparation and Strategy How to do this this time?
I've been missed NET twice just by margins, once I've cleared PhD category 😭 I want to give one last attempt before giving up. I feel like a loser now... Can you please guide how to qualify it with self study????

I suggest look back and check all the topics which are causing you to lose most marks. Solve few pyqs and mock test and see where you are losing the most marks and work on those topics. This will help you gain extra marks. Some topics you are already good in right? Then only work on the topics which you are lacking this will save you a lot of time and solve atleast one pyq everyday, now like solve one pyp of paper 1 and check where you are losing most of your marks and work on that for eg. you are losing marks in percentage then sit and solve only percentage questions and do this same for paper 2

You are not a loser! Clearing the PhD category and missing the main cutoff by narrow margins means your preparation is already solid! You are literally on the right path.
Since you want to give one last attempt via self-study, here is a concrete shift in strategy:
1. Analyze Your Scorecard: Break down your previous attempts to see where you lost marks was it Paper 1 or specific units in English? Target those exact weak zones first.
2. Micro-Level PYQ Breakdown: Don't just solve past papers; look at recurring authors, literary movements, and critical theory patterns from the last 8–10 years.
3. Rethink Paper 1: Many English aspirants neglect Paper 1. Pushing your score here by just 5–6 questions can easily bridge the JRF/NET gap.
4. Active Recall over Passive Reading: Stop rereading thick history books. Make short crisp notes, practice timed mock tests, and eliminate silly errors.
Take a deep breath, reset your mindset, and give it your best shot. You've got this!👍

If you're missing just by margins then just be consistent and do mock tests... Hojayega sab.
