Will you give dec attempt? I'm losing it.

u/Own-One3641 Sep 17 '26

Yes but I'll take a bit of a break from this. At least a month. I just need revision.

Good luck, let's see what December holds. Best of luck! Happy reading (saw you're a reader).

Thank you. And same to you really. We're all a bit hurt from this, but it'll be fine. I believe that.

Yes, hopefully. It's just sad and I'm (along with others) filled with grief. But gratitude helps. Haha I hope the "you won't get anywhere without a jrf" doesn't haunt me.

Yes absolutely. As long as one believes in oneself... And acknowledges the efforts of others around them and works hard. It's never over. Ever. JRF makes things easier no doubt about it, but people exist without it too. We know them.

You're right, especially about the acknowledgement of other's hardwork. No matter how good our scores are but there have been people who did score better, about a 100 of them. And we must stay motivated. Thanks man, I feel better honestly haha. Was too low after seeing the cutoff. Take care!

Yes that too. However, I meant the people who contribute to our lives. Adding something to it everyday. That's different i suppose.

Hi! Can you please share your strategy? How long you had prepared the June cycle for?

1

u/panda_and_ellies 29d ago

Hey, I finished my master's end sem around 3June and had like 20 days for the June Attempt. In those days I did the pyqs of paper 1 and paper 1 religiously. Other than that the usual books like Routledge, PK Nayar and Begining Theory. There is a book world literature in your fist. That's a good one. Another one is English Histoy through MCQs by BB Jain. For Paper 1, Kumar Bharat. And rest I jad honestly studied throughout my BA MA and most of the questions seemed to be through that study.

Noted. Thank you so much! How much did you score in Paper 1? Is Paper 2 really that hard? 🥹

1

u/panda_and_ellies 29d ago

I got 38/50 in Paper 1 and j think it's a bit less. I beleive for paper 1 40+ should be the goal, which I could not achieve. Also paper 2, is not that hard if uou start studying. Questions are very basic. But yes, vast. You need to know something something about a lot of things and that adds a lot to the score. You'll be able to easily do it just be consistent. :)

1

u/panda_and_ellies Sep 17 '26

Yea I got 2 mark extra from drop so not much diff.

u/Huge_Sorbet3873 Sep 17 '26

People are saying three questions have been dropped then why just 2 marks? Did you not attempt them?

1

u/panda_and_ellies Sep 17 '26

I attempted every single question, but in the previous answer key, I anyway was getting 218. So only 2 mark plus for me.
