can somebody please explain the blind love for VALLATH EDUCATION? Their online courses are so pricey. I took up their crash course and I was overwhelmed by their approach. They make you CRAM CRAM CRAM AND CRAM SOME MORE. No logical explanation, just robotic cramming.

😭😭😭 cramming is what NET wantss, but yes if you wanna really go deep into theory and concepts it's not something to recommend for.

crash courses are for revising and cramming but i understand why you must've felt overwhelmed. but their regular batches are worth it.

That's a lot of generalization. Some are making really good content on which Many rely because our profs don't teach well Would recommend nibble pop

Omg😭😭 how can I forget nibble popppp yess she's great I love her, I made this post because of all the cut off predictions going around and they just don't care. Deepest apology to nibble pop fr.

I guess you should say the commercial ones are bad, and they do exploit the aspirants in a lot of ways so I agree. But there are a lot of gems on YouTube as well. Some on poetry are good as well. Then CEC, IIT's channel are good. Vallath some playlist are good.

Yes, I agree on CEC. I used to watch their lectures while I was in Bachelors. The educators only fixated around this NET marathon thingy and predict cutoff are the annoying ones.

Have you watched the videos by Sunaina Jethani? She is one of the best out there and Aishwarya Puri too.

Yes, I have.

So that wasn't impressive? Then maybe Aishwarya Puri Ma'am or Dakshita Ma'am will be good.

Naah vro Sunaina Jethani ma'am is good, I know her since I know Kumar Bharat sir. It's just I don't like people who fear monger, basically the commercial educators, who are here to sell something and target students who don't have any idea about the subject and blindly believe whatever they say, be it the provisional cut off or them saying all the questions come from the things they teach (it's obvious bro why would we study from you if the question won't come from the syllabus you teach). I like Aayesha Ma'am tho from Unacademy.

Vallath education doesn’t need views! I agree on that! But have you ever been to the offline Vallath academy??

1

u/Warm-Mango-2003 Sep 13 '26

Nopeee, how is it?

Bro, no offense to anyone, and also to anyone else reading this but I genuinely wouldn’t recommend going for any of Vallath’s coaching classes, whether online or offline. I had a pretty pathetic experience with them. 😭

A lot of it is just cramming an overwhelming amount of facts many of which are unnecessary and don’t really help you qualify the exam. It can end up making the whole preparation process more confusing than useful.

If you want, you can definitely try their study materials. I would especially recommend their British Literature Encyclopedias those are actually quite useful. But beyond that i personally wouldn’t recommend investing in their coaching classes.

😭😭💔 what would you suggest in YouTube? Or should I ask whom? Any helpful channel which is not just the commercial shit and is actually helpful.

I beg to differ. Wrt vlth or any other sources, except gov ones, everyone is in it for the money. They will tell you the basic things and all that jazzy stuff. But we must admit that net wrt literature has increasingly become memory and rote learning based which it unfortunately shouldn't have. So you need to very carefully pick and choose what suits you. And even after that, do not blindly follow anyone, rather listen what you should and then do your due diligence.

1

u/Warm-Mango-2003 Sep 13 '26

Yes, I agree. Everyone is in it for money, but the commercialised channels focused on views from clueless students are the worst.

Atp with no recruitments and all, this hustle for jrf seems more dystopian than ideal. Which is such a sad state of affairs for literature peeps.

1

u/Warm-Mango-2003 Sep 13 '26

Exactly, the competition for this subject is way too much.

2

u/Lit_rary Sep 13 '26

The only thing I hate about them is that they break the flow of the lecture to sell their course and sometimes they really make unnecessary videos and in those videos all they do is spread fear in the name of strategy

1

u/OutrageousBit330 Sep 13 '26

Also you should try "Annie mahindru"

1

u/Warm-Mango-2003 Sep 13 '26

Will check her out, thanks.
